Introducing the Boardlist – a topic near and dear to my heart, this project is a great start at making a difference and closing the gender gap in tech. One step is to make a conscious effort to fill empty board seats with women.
Here’s a quick summary of what the Boardlist does, and why it’s so important:
It’s estimated that only 23%-32% of private funded tech boards have a woman on the board (including female investor and female founders/CEO board seats). This means that roughly 70–75% of private companies have none.
The Boardlist creates a platform for tech industry leaders to recommend top female picks for private company boards so CEOs, executives, and investors can discover extremely qualified women candidates to fill open board seats when they need them.
